Assure - Data submitter guide

Clarity FTP Server

 FTP Setup

To access our secure server Clarity will set up a folder for your organisation on our secure server, this folder is visible only to yourself and your colleagues. You are able to upload and download documents to this folder. A username and password will be sent in separate emails, you will only need one username and password for your organization.

In order to access our secure server you will need to install software client such as FileZilla onto your local pc, you may have to contact your IT department for assistance in setting this up as they may have to adjust your security settings on your pc. Once you have downloaded this software you can connect to our server.

 Connect to Clarity secure server

Open the client software such as FileZilla.

In the software widow there will be fields to enter the following information;

Host:              secureftp.clarity.co.uk

Username:       supplied by Clarity in separate email

Password:        supplied by Clarity in separate email

Port:                 22

 Once you have entered this information click ‘Quickconnect’.

 Upload to Clarity secure server

When you have logged into the secure server you will be taken directly to your Trust's folder. where you can upload your files.

If you are using Filezilla you will see a similar format as below with your local computer drives on the left-hand side and the Clarity secure server folder for your Trust on the right. To upload files to the secure server, you can simply drag and drop files from your local drive to your folder.

Alternatively you can right-click on the document you wish to upload and click ‘upload’. This will move a copy of the selected file from your local pc to the secure server folder. Your original document will remain on your local pc, it will not be moved to the server only copied.

SUS Data / Population Data Uploads

If your use of Assure requires you to upload SUS or Population data to Clarity please contact Clarity at assure-enquiries@clarity.co.uk so that we can provide you with the full specifications you will require to ensure a successful upload to Assure.

The file specification and population criteria details can be found within the User Support Documents for each individual focus area.  This details the criteria the data must meet to enable a record to be included in that focus area population.

MDE Uploads

 MDE uploads (Measure Question Answers)

If you wish to answer the measure questions within Assure via a data file upload to save data input time then this can be done via an MDE file upload.

Each region and focus area has a specific MDE file specification which details the information required to enable a successful upload to Assure.
