FTP Access

To access the secure server Clarity will set up a folder for an organization on our secure server, this folder is visible only to yourself and your colleagues. You are able to upload and download documents to this folder. A username and password will be sent in separate emails, you will only need one username and password for your organization.

In order to access our secure server you will need to install software client such as FileZilla onto your local pc, you may have to contact your IT department for assistance in setting this up as they may have to adjust your security settings on your pc. Once you have downloaded this software you can connect to our server.

Connect to Clarity Secure Server

Open the client software such as FileZilla.

In the software widow there will be fields to enter the following information;

Host:               secureftp.clarity.co.uk

Username:       supplied by Clarity in separate email

Password:        supplied by Clarity in separate email

Port:                 22

Once you have entered this information click ‘Quickconnect’.

Upload your files to Clarity Secure Server

Your files can be uploaded to a folder that has been created for your organization under ‘ftproot’. Your access allows you to upload, delete and rename uploaded files, and download files.

Double-clicking on ftproot will make your folder visible. You can see from the example below that Clarity can see folders created for all organizations who have requested access to the secure server.

On the FileZilla screen, your local computer drives can be seen on the left-hand side and the Clarity secure server site can be seen on the right. To upload files to the secure server, you can simply drag and drop files from your local drive to your folder under ftproot.

Alternatively, you can right-click on the document you wish to upload and click ‘upload’. This will move a copy of the selected file from your local pc to the secure server folder. Your original document will remain on your local pc, it will not be moved to the server only copied.

Once you have copied files across, there will be a message on the top of the screen telling you if the transfer has been successful.

The example below shows the upload was unsuccessful.
