Continuing Professional Development
These are activities which relate directly to your Continuing Professional Development. Improvement Activities
The Quality Improvement section allows you to document participation in activities that review and evaluate the quality of your work (e.g. Case Reviews/Clinical Audits). Quality Improvement activities should be robust, systematic and relevant to your work. They should also include an element of evaluation and action, and where possible, demonstrate and outcome or change.

Events
Use this section to add information regarding any significant events that have occurred and the audits that followed. A significant event is any unintended or unexpected event, which could or did lead to the harm of one or more patients. This includes incidents which did not cause harm but could have done, or where the event should have been prevented. Throughout the year you should be collating information regarding events which demonstrate your ability to learn and develop when faced with challenging circumstances. The overview pages shows the Significant Events that have been added to this appraisal, and you are able to sort the items alphabetically according to title, by date and by CPD score.

The Colleague and Patient Feedback section allows you to view and upload any feedback reports you have obtained from colleagues and patients, either using Clarity’s MSF tool or external MSF questionnaires.

Add the item directly to your appraisal (link to “add” page) and complete the Details and Documents tabs relevant sections (or edit existing items that you have imported from your Portfolio)
- Once you have saved the Details and Documents tabs, click the Reflection tab. added to the relevant detail sections you can add reflection in the Comments/Reflection section.
Enter your reflective statement into the free text box and use the formatting tools if you want to structure your reflection (bold, underline, italics, bullet points and numbering).
