Introduction
Welcome to the January 2016 issue of the Clarity Assure eBulletin. It contains the latest news and advice relating to the Quality Improvement Service for North East.
Assure Downtime
The next version release for Assure is scheduled to take place on 28th January 2016, please note that on this day the Assure system will be unavailable from 5pm onwards.
Users will receive an email advising when down time has ended and the system is available.
Sepsis Treatment Timescales
The timescales for treatments in the following measures have been updated:-
- SEP1 : Targeted Oxygen Delivered)
- SEP2 : Blood Cultures Taken
- SEP4 : Serum Lactate Taken
- SEP5 : Fluid Resuscitation Initiated
- SEP6 : Accurate Urine Output Measurement Started
Patients will now pass these measures when they have received the specified treatment between 12 hours before and 1 hour after the Sepsis diagnosis date and time.
For example, if a patient was given oxygen 12 hours before their sepsis diagnosis this would have previously failed measure SEP1. The timescale change will now enable the patient to pass this measure.
These changes will only apply for future datasets and will not be applicable to datasets already loaded.
The Measure Document has been updated to reflect this change and is available on the Clarity Assure Help Wiki.
Time default
All time fields on Assure will no longer default to midnight and will now default to a blank field until data is entered.
